How is vehicle acceleration performance measured?

Acceleration testing measures time and distance for speed changes. Key metrics include 0-100 km/h time, 0-60 mph time, quarter-mile time and trap speed, and 80-120 km/h passing acceleration. Testing uses GPS-based data acquisition for accurate velocity measurement regardless of wheel slip.
